(Please scroll down to view the English version of the Crew Guidelines.)
Stormtrooper
Stormtrooper Crew Guidelines
Welcome aboard the Stormtrooper! We hope you feel comfortable and at ease during your time with us. Life onboard is a bit different from life on land, so please take a moment to review the following friendly reminders:
⚓️ Most Important Rules
Our Home at Sea
The Stormtrooper is our home—and now yours, too. Relax and enjoy your time here, but please remember basic courtesy and mutual respect.
Feeling Unwell? Let Us Know
If you’re not feeling well, notify the Captain or First Mate right away. Especially late at night, don’t stay alone on deck if you feel off—let us help you.
Emotional Support
If you ever feel scared, lonely, anxious, or uneasy in tight spaces, please reach out to us. We’re here for you.
🚤 Embarking & Disembarking
Tender Transfers
We use a tender to go ashore. Traveling together with the Captain and First Mate is better—so join us when we head ashore. If you want to chill on the boat while we are away, you are more than welcome.
Scheduled Excursions
If you’ve signed up for a tour and need to be at the meeting point by a specific time, please inform us in advance.
Stay on Shore late
If you want to stay on land until evening, please give us a heads-up beforehand.
No Late-Night Transfers
Traveling by tender after dark carries extra risk. If you need to stay ashore “late at night,” please make sure you have overnight accommodations arranged in town.
💧 Water Conservation
Water is precious at sea, so please:
Dishwashing
Don’t rinse dishes immediately after use. Instead, leave them in the sink. We wash everything together once or twice a day.
Quick Showers
Keep washing simple and fast: turn on the tap, wet hair and body, turn off the tap, apply soap or shampoo, then turn the water back on to rinse.
Limited Hot Water
Our heater holds only 10 L of hot water at a time. Once it’s gone, we need to wait for it to heat up again.
⚡️ Electricity Use
Water Pump & Power
Every time the water pump runs, it draws batteries power. Showering is best done during daylight or while the generator is running.
12 V Outlets
These run 24/7. USB ports are installed in all the rooms and on deck. Please ask if you can’t find one.
240 V Appliances
High-voltage power is only available when the generator is on (e.g., microwave, electric kettle, oven, and wall outlets).
🚽 Toilet Etiquette
What Belongs in the Toilet
Only human waste and toilet paper should go into the toilet. Never flush pads, tampons, or other items.
Flush Proper
Our toilet use seawater. Hold the flush until all waste is cleared before you leave.
Blocked Toilets
If the water level rises or you suspect a clog, tell the Captain immediately—don’t be embarrassed. If it’s near the rim, it’s much harder to fix.
📡 Internet Access
Our onboard Wi-Fi bandwidth is limited and not available for guest use.
⛵️ While Sailing (if we do go)
Secure Valuables
Weather and waves can be unpredictable. Store laptops, cameras, and other valuables low and secure to prevent them from falling.
Avoid Cooking
We don’t recommend meal prep while sailing—things can easily slide around. If you feel hungry, crackers or small snacks are better options. You may also check with the Captain or First Mate to confirm departure times.
🪸 Sun Care, Ocean Respect & Swimming
Sunscreen
We provide reef-friendly sunscreen for everyone’s use.
Protective Clothing
The best sun protection—and environmental kindness—is UV-blocking clothing. (e.g., stingsuit, wetsuit.)
Let Nature Stay in NatureDo not take any sand or shells from the beach—doing so is illegal. Capture your beautiful memories with photos instead.
Wildlife Awareness
Australia’s waters host large predators like sharks. Avoid swimming from dusk until dawn.
Irukandji Jellyfish
In Queensland’s summer, tiny but dangerous Irukandji jellyfish appear. If you do swim, please wear full-body protection—they’re smaller than a fingertip and hard to spot.
🛟 Other
Thick Blankets
If the night gets chilly, let us know—we have cozy blankets available.
Blanket Care
Blankets can be used on deck but must be brought back inside afterward to avoid being blown away.
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask us.
And if you’d like to learn more about sailing or marine life, we’d love to share our knowledge!
